General information

Seaport Delfzijl is primarily a port for chemical, metal and forest products. It consists of an outer harbour with several quays and terminals, and an inner harbour that links directly to the inland shipping network. Sea locks link the inner harbour to the outer harbour. The entrance to the outer harbour has a draught of 9 metres and a bottom width of 208 metres. The port offers a wide range of storage facilities and is directly connected to the Dutch railway and motorway networks.
