CCA Official Empty Depot in Amsterdam

CCA Official Empty Depot in Amsterdam

Container Company Amsterdam (CCA), part of the Ter Haak Group, has officially been appointed as the emtpy container depot in the Amsterdam region for the French carrier CMA-CGM which is originated in Marseille. CMA-CGM belongs to the top three largest container carriers in the world. The Ter Haak Group has considerably expanded its container depot facilities.

With the extension, the Ter Haak Group anticipates the demand for extra service in the Port of Amsterdam. Companies situated in the port of Amsterdam, including the Ter Haak Group, find it essential to invest in growth to maintain the harbour’s development. Besides the new Terminal Entrance and the new head office in the Amerikahaven in Amsterdam, more developments are coming up. In Shanghai the Ter Haak Group opens an Interasia office and the existing office in Almere will be expanded with a 12,000 m2 warehouse.

CCA
For many years CCA Amsterdam is the market leader for sales and rental of all kinds of seacontainers, offshorecontainers, cabins and reefers, new and used. It also owns a special container factory.

On the terminal at the Ruijgoordweg in Amsterdam CCA works as Repair & Service Provider for the bigger Deep Sea clients of the subsidiary company United Stevedores Amsterdam like Grimaldi, NileDutch and Delmas.

Yearly over 100,000 empty containers are received, repaired and cleaned in order to be put back into service again. To make this possible, CCA has a 40,000 m2 storage capacity, a 1000 m2 covered workshop, a container-washing facility, forty reefer plugs and six Kalmar empty container handlers to its deposal at the dedicated USA Terminal. In addition, CCA has full access to all terminal facilities of the subsidiary company.

The Ter Haak Group
The family business Ter Haak Group, founded in 1911, is situated in and around the ports of Amsterdam. The company consists of a combination of highly specialized harbour companies and is one of the fastest growing companies in the port of Amsterdam.
