General information

The port of Schiedam is located on the north bank of the Nieuwe Maas River about 4.5 miles below Rotterdam’s bridges and 15 miles from the sea. Its location and access to water, road and rail transportation have aided its development as an industrial and major ship repairing location.

Voorhaven
The Voorhaven provides access to the inner harbours and the Schie River. The Voorhaven has stone piers at the entrance, is 1,200 feet long and 151 feet wide, with a depth of 11.5 feet (3.5 m.) and is used by coasters.

Spuihaven
The Spuihaven, located to the west of the Voorhaven, is a 1,080 feet long yacht harbour.

Wilhelminahaven
The Wilhelminahaven is about 500 feet from the Spuihaven where ERS (Equipment Rental & Services B.V.), the HSM (Hollandse Staalbouw Maatschappij – Offshore), Nieuwe Waterweg Silo B.V. and Van Mannekus & Co. B.V. (magnesia), cereals trade and transhipment are located. The mouth of the Wilhelminahaven is 650 feet wide and 12,200 feet long with a water area of 70 acres. The harbour is 2,600 feet long and 770 feet wide and 23 feet (7metres) deep at low water.
Three jetties are located on the east bank, two used by Stork Wärtsilä Diesel B.V. for engine repairs. In addition Van der Kooy (sand and gravel), Ballast Nedam (road construction materials), Van Tiel & Van Schie (transport) and NSP (North Sea Petrol, Oil Trading) are also situated in the Wilhelminahaven-region.

  13.00 – 17.30 hrs.

07.30 – 12.00 hrs.
