Scheveningen

Introduction

The port of Scheveningen is the seaport of The Hague and its surrounding. The port is accessible to vessels up to 160 metres in length with a draught of 7.5 metres. Freighter and reefers up to 140 metres are regular visitors. The port knows a great variety of fishing boats.  There is a fish auction which covers 6200 m2. Most quays are 20 to 30 metres wide and offer sufficient space for handling and storage in warehouses and cold stores. Yachts can stay one of more days at the Marina (Yachtclub Scheveningen).

Activities in the seaport of Scheveningen are in full swing: international sailing events, shopping and dining along the quays, fishing and sightseeing daytrips, a variety of watersports facilities at the Nautic Center.

Scheveningen beach next tot the port is very popular and the city of The Haque and its surrounding offers many attractions to visit. Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht are less than an hour away by road and train. The seaport of Scheveningen is at short distance from Hoek van Holland and IJmuiden.
