It is difficult to reach the center of Amsterdam from the harbour by public transport, especially in the evening hours and in the weekends. The Seamen's club can make taxi reservations, call telephone 020-611 79 12.

From IJmuiden there is a bus number 82 that goes to Amsterdam.

Monday to Friday from 8:00-21:00 hrs and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00-18:00 hrs.
Connection by train from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport to Amsterdam Central Station (day and night).
